It was my immense pleasure to earn the position of CEO in RGP, where I joined as Sales Manager & Founder member in 1999. During the last twenty-three years, working with preceding CEO enabled me to learn the legacy, culture, ethos, and sales process of the company at all levels which increased my acceptance among the internal and external customers.
Our top priority is to carefully select the right people conducting several interviews and after appointment equip them with appropriate products knowledge, selling tactics, and necessary tools of ethical marketing and sales activities in the pharma industry. Thereafter, we teach them our core business values before sending them into the field because they are our face in the medical community.
We believe that the first ingredient of a good medical representative is to be an excellent presenter with presentable dressing and willing to start walking with us in search of prescriptions on merit from the core of their hearts. He should not consider any other option and accept this profession as a career till retirement. I must acknowledge that I am privileged to be a CEO who is surrounded by people who hold a similar approach. It enables us to execute our business plan in letter and spirit.
We infuse confidence in our teams that their management genuinely cares about their professional growth, Quality of life, and conducive working environment which is prerequisite for happy family life. RGP feels itself responsible to provide career pathway to those who show competence for emerging vacancies and keep themselves well prepared to fit in the positions. Currently, our Director of Marketing, Product Managers and National Sales Managers, and Business Unit Managers have joined RGP in the position of Medical Representative. It is the center of gravity for the lowest employee’s turnover.
Last but not least, we educate our employees on how they can get an interest-free loan by participating in Employee Mutual Funds, which was initiated when I came know that our some of the colleagues are under tremendous financial pressure due to nonpayment of credit cards. The prime idea was to collect rupees two thousand from representatives and fifteen thousand from directors, and clear financially collapsed people liabilities. Idea accepted by all stakeholders & converted into a hustle free loan model with passage of time. Now, after one year of service a representative can enjoy two hundred thousand loans from Mutual Fund after paying twelve participation funds’ payments. This Interest free Loan recovered in twenty payback installments along with regular participation funds payments. We pay the entire participation funds in case of resignation or retirement along with the clearance. Al Hum Du Lillah, our employees can enjoy two lacs to two million interest free loans depending upon service length and do not need to face indignity to get loan if needed in emergency from friends, relatives, or bank.
Our business philosophy is to compete in niche markets in order to become a big fish in a small pond. This is clearly mentioned in “Our Operating Principles.” Therefore, currently the majority of the RG brands are enjoying leadership positions. We do this because we believe: Setting an extremely challenging target and missing it by a narrow margin is better than setting an easy target and achieving it.
